Event Overview

Challenge Gunsan-Saemangeum is set at the extraordinary Saemangeum reclaimed land project in South Korea — one of the world's largest land reclamation projects, creating a vast flat landscape on the Yellow Sea coast. The swim is in Yellow Sea waters near Gunsan. The flat bike rides across the unique Saemangeum seawall and reclaimed plain. The flat run takes athletes along the coastal reclaimed area. A genuinely unique and unusual race venue unlike any other on the global triathlon calendar.
